A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Washington, I am a former teacher for the Bellevue School District. During the past twelve years I have studied, traveled extensively to visit colleges and talk with admissions directors, and attended national and regional conferences. I am licensed as a Certified Educational Planner, and a member of the National Association of College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and the Pacific Northwest Association of College Admission Counseling (PNACAC). I am also president for the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA), a national organization of college advisors. College identification and essay review are my specialties.

Also a University of Washington graduate and a member of PNACAC and HECA, I am a twenty year resident of Bainbridge Island. I have served on the boards of Helpline, BEST, the Suzuki School, the PTO Coordinating Council, and I chaired the high school site-based council for two years. Marketing athletes, finding community service, summer programming, and application supervision have been my specialties.

Amy Jo Heyneman, Ph.D.

After graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles, I earned a Ph.D. from the Department of Zoology at the University of California, Berkeley. I co-led Stanford University's Alumni Association travel study program in Africa for eight years, before beginning my family. As an active volunteer in local schools, I was awarded Washington State's PTA Golden Acorn Award, which recognizes dedicated service to children. Also a member of PNACAC and HECA, I specialize in interview practice, college travel guidance, application supervision, financial planning, and gap-year programming.
